Shakira in Bombay (Mumbai)

Colombian pop star Shakira gave a scintillating performance here on Sunday evening, sending her fans into a state of delirium. The excitement of the show was also felt outside the concert venue, and some described it as electrifying. "I am really happy and thrilled to be able to come tonight. Someone gifted me a gift of a ticket. We are really looking forward to it...excited," said Mary, an Irish fan standing outside the concert venue. Shakira, who arrived in Mumbai on Saturday, said she was thrilled to be in India. Unlike other celebrities who hide behind dark glasses and heavy security, Shakira walked up to waiting fans, giving hugs and blowing kisses soon after her arrival in Mumbai. The Colombian star, an international hit as much for her dance moves as her singing abilities in numbers like 'Whenever Wherever' and 'Hips Don't Lie', was in Mumbai as part of her international 'Oral Fixation' tour.
