This event will happen on September 29 which comprise of concert and social-change discussion. MTV will be telecasting it live on Think.MTV.com;

All of these prominent people of music and politics will take part in roundtable discussion on youth activism at Apollo Theater in New York. Alicia Keys and Shakira will perform as well.

The event "Giving - Live at the Apollo," is co-sponsored by MTV and the Clinton Global Initiative. Another major sponsor is one.org which is trying to make poverty a thing of past.

Shakira, who arrived in Mumbai on Saturday, said she was thrilled to be in India. Unlike other celebrities who hide behind dark glasses and heavy security, Shakira walked up to waiting fans, giving hugs and blowing kisses soon after her arrival in Mumbai. The Colombian star, an international hit as much for her dance moves as her singing abilities in numbers like 'Whenever Wherever' and 'Hips Don't Lie', was in Mumbai as part of her international 'Oral Fixation' tour.
