Shakira also spoke in favor of immigrants working in USA illegally. Shakira completely stole the limelight at the event. She also performed with Alejandro Sanz.

The Latin Grammy show was held at New York's Madison Square Garden. Michael Bloomberg also went up on the stage said "Welcome to my house," in Spanish.

The evening included performances from Ricky Martin, Andrea Bocelli, and a tribute to reggaeton and salsa.

Change of venue for Shakira concert

Shakira's biggest ever concert is going to be moved from its original university venue to a military airport in Venezuela after complaints from residents.

Shakira is going to perform live on stage on Nov. 11 concert at the La Carlota military airport close to Venezuela's capital. Earlier this concert was scheduled at Sanata Maria University.

The move comes after objections from residents' associations close to the former scheduled site at Santa Maria University.
